Yendi Phillipps born on September 8, 1985, at the age of 24 she appointed as the winner of the Miss Jamaica World 2007 beauty pageant. Phillipps is of black and partial Indo-Jamaican descent. She acclaims her mother, who died when she was younger. And for her Confidence and Drive, she bestows her win to her mother. She represented Jamaica at the Miss World 2007 contest held in Sanya, China last December 1, 2007.

Yendi holds a bachelor's degree of fine arts with a concentration in dance from the State University of New York at Brockport and a Master's degree in Recreation and Leisure Management. She attended St. Andrew High School for Girls in Kingston, Jamaica. Phillipps hosts Digicel Rising Stars.

She was crowned Miss Jamaica Universe 2010 on July 3, 2010 and will represent Jamaica at the Miss Universe 2010 pageant in Las Vegas on August 23.
